PSL Programs

People Spread Love is comprised of two programs, Meet and Make events both public and private and our PSL Starter Kit program. PSL also preforms acts of kindness campaigns and hopes to expand on that to further reach and impact more often.

Meet and Make Events

PSL provides an open invitation for community volunteers to participate in letter writing campaigns for people who need an extra kind word. We call these “Meet & Make” events, they are either open to the public or private.

Pre-pandemic PSL hosted Meet and Make events monthly, if not twice monthly in public settings. Many of the places that host public events are at coffee shops, restaurants, brew pubs, and retail stores. These community events welcome everyone to the table.

PSL Starter Kit Program

The PSL Starter Kit program empowers community volunteers to participate at home, in the classroom, or in a community setting with basic necessary supplies to ignite curiosity in this act of writing letters to those that are facing adversity all across the country. Ample enclosed instruction will encourage them to participate and attend a Virtual Volunteer Event that can guide them further.

We offer over 200 kits FREE to the community every year! The program was piloted in 2022 and has been embraced by the community.

The PSL Starter Kit program also amplifies artists, both working artists and aspiring. In conjunction with the curation of these kits, PSL hosts a Art Contest for both adults and children to enter to win a cash prize and a dozen of their winning art on a greeting card. We also curate the kits with the winning designs and pull in unique elements into each kit from working artists all over the country. The contributing artists have freedom to decide how they want to integrate their art into the kits. They have included: stickers, greeting cards/postcards, coloring book pages, enamel pins, and paper cutouts for collaging.

Love Dropbox

Each PSL Drop Box will feature a dedicated station where passersby can familiarize themselves with this simple act of kindness initiative, conveniently located at their regular haunts. The station includes a side table, a caddy stocked with writing materials (card paper, markers, pens, pencils), informative signage, and a QR code for volunteers to scan and discover “Who Needs Love.” Additionally, there will be a drop box for them to deposit their completed cards.
