Martin Luther King, Jr. stands for love & peace
We remember the power of love and peace from a man named Martin Luther King, Jr. We can apply these principles today to the change we’d like to see in this world, standing up to what we believe with love and peace in our hearts. Tomorrow me celebrate this man’s legacy on his birthday as a national holiday. Remembering him for his nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement honoring this private citizen (he’s never held a public office) contrary to longstanding tradition. His “I have a dream” speech from 1963 moved us all then and continuously does today.
“No, we are not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
(I Have a Dream Speech)
“
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” (I Have a Dream Speech)
“Somebody should have sense enough to meet hate with love. Somebody should have sense enough to meet physical force with soul force.” (The Better Speech)
May love & peace continue to conquer all.
