Also silly jokes maybe since she will be getting chemo for 7 hrs a day she can read something funny possibly.

Lisa and her husband run the restaurant at the Flying Saddle in Alpine Wyoming. They pretty much work a lot. I do know that they love Florida, beaches, they have a dog. I don’t know much about Lisa but I know she loves flowers. And her favorite team is the Seattle Seahawks.

She can’t talk but can open mail.

Meghan

Meghan was recently diagnosed with ALS at the age of 38.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Kahn’s diagnosis has affected one of her legs, making her limp, and the disease’s progression will soon require her to be in a wheelchair, forcing her family to have to move to an ADA-accessible home, among other life changes.

What kind of love do they need?
Meghan and her family can use words of encouragement, silly jokes, inspiring quotes, beautiful pictures and thoughtful letters.

Meghan is a passionate and talented elementary school teacher in Portland, Oregon. Her beautiful, young family is made up of her husband Jonathan, son Ari (9) and daughter Sloan (6). Meghan loves the Oregon Ducks, she loves to ski, travel, and any adventure outdoors!

Eli (3.5), Heidi & Jim

Eli (3.5 years old) and his grandfather (papa), Jim were recently in a bad car accident (from a driver who was speeding and failed to stop at a stop sign) that resulting in Jim’s pelvis fractured in multiple places, hip dislocated and sciatic nerve nearly severed.

Eli is 3.5 and survived the accident seemingly unscathed. He was treated and released by the paramedics and the hospital without my consent and has shown obvious signs of PTSD having witnessed his papa in accrue suffering and having experienced an impact that was so violent it totaled Jim’s car and sent him to the hospital – where he’s been for almost two weeks… Eli is enraged and violent when the incident comes up in conversation, when he feels comfortable and trusting the person visiting and stays long enough to let the anger and distraction pass he describes how ‘papa’s knee hurts.’ Eli likely saw his papa in extreme pain.

Heidi is Eli’s mom, and has been relying on her father, Jim as her ‘co-parent’ as her childcare provider. With Jim’s injury it’s really put Heidi in a tough spot with her employer and her ability to work consistent hours.

What kind of love do they need?
Compassion, kindness, healing energy, silly jokes

Eli cannot read – so pictures/drawings are best

She’s been going through a lot lately and needs to know she’s not alone. Amelia is one of the strongest people I know, but I think sometimes she needs to know that she is enough and that no matter what she will be good. She grew up in a family that didn’t know how to raise her, she’s been forgotten about and treated not great. So she needs some love!

What kind of love do they need?
I would say Amelia you are my favorite person in the whole world. Even when I can’t feel my legs, even when I’m exhausted and down and tired you are there for me. You need to know your own worth. It doesn’t come from people expectations of you. It doesn’t come from what you can do for me or others. It comes from who you are as a person inside you. As a person that never gives up no matter what you’ve been through. Keep you head up.

She needs love that is unconditional, accepting and non judgemental. She loves anything Disney and the notebook and toy story 3 is her favorite movies.

What can you tell me about them?
She is a trans woman that has been through the ringer. She has autism. BPD, and other medical conditions. She has a family that does not support who she is and she has put all this effort into being an amazing partner and person despite all that. Her favorite color is teal. Precious 3 year old Parker Felton was diagnosed this past July with a stage IV Wilms Tumor, a childhood kidney cancer.

After being life flighted to  Primary Children’s Hospital, Parker had started to undergo what would be a six-hour procedure to remove a two-and-a-half pound tumor and her left kidney. A tumor that size in a child Parker’s age is equivalent to removing a 10-pound tumor from an adult.

Parker has been undergoing treatments that’s are grueling I’m hope of shrinking the other tumors.

Her sweet family has been through it and could all use our love.
