Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that’s simple and meaningful? Look no further, People Spread Love is a great way to volunteer your time, energy and a whole lot of heart.
When we ask many of our volunteers across the United States how they found out about us, many say the same thing. They usually say they searched for “easy ways to volunteer” or “low-cost volunteer work” and PSL pops up. However you found us, we are grateful you made your way to us!
Here is the best way get started:
- Read about the organization to learn about us and what we have offered the community nationwide.
- Mission: The mission of People Spread Love (PSL) is to empower communities to write notes of love to those facing adversity. This act of kindness expresses empathy and revives human connection across community lines.
- Vision: PSL’s vision is to bring communities together to support one another in a time of need.
- If PSL resonates with you, let’s get started by filling out the Volunteer Confidentality Agreement found here: https://peoplespreadlove.com/volunteer/volunteer-confidentiality/
- You’ll receive an email with everything you’ll need to get started with ample instructions.
- Read the PSL Instructions ahead of time: https://peoplespreadlove.com/volunteer/psl-volunteer-instructions/
- Gather your art supplies at home. You don’t need anything fancy to make this love-spreading volunteer work meaningful. Use markers, pencils, pens, pastels, watercolor to name a few.
- For more sustainable ways to create a note of love use the following:
- The front of an old greeting card you’ve received and cut off the greeting on the other side for keeps or if it’s not a glossy finish you may be able to recycle it.
- Collage from a magazine, old calendars, kids artwork, coloring book pages, and miscellaneous or scrap paper.
- Thrift shops have great greeting cards to choose from for a great cost.
- For more sustainable ways to create a note of love use the following:
- Google search: “Card making craft ideas” to find ways you can easily craft something special.
- Get friends and family involved too. Make a craft date or a dinner party. Integrate this with your church or community group. Bring it to a team building gathering.
