Gregory Kloehn built 35 residences for homeless people in Oakland, predominately from discarded materials. Windows made from microwave doors or shelving from a refrigerator. The home is built on a 8 foot palate on wheels. Miniature home residents are grateful for Greg’s open heart, keeping them off the ground and in their very own home.
“You see these people living on the street, dead of winter, no food, wet – they don’t complain.
Then you see people with a home, a job and a bunch a money – they’re always bitching.”
Gregory has workshops and lectures, inspiring others to build dozens of miniature homes for the homeless.
